Growing Up

The hardest thing I've learned as I've gotten older is how hard it is to watch everyone around you, including yourself, grow up. How in the blink of an eye a decade flies by.
As kids we are told to "be careful what you wish for," but being so young, we wish for the future anyways. Even as we get older we hear everyone around us saying to appreciate time in the present. But of course as humans we never take the advice. In the rush of life we forget to acknowledge time and because of that we lose it. My advice to you now though is don't rush it. In time everything will fall into place. What is meant to be will come when the the time is right no matter what. Stop pressing fast forward. There is a time for everything and right now maybe you just need to live and breathe for a minute. There's so much around you to love and appreciate. Time does not pause when you ask it to. It keeps moving. And before you know it you're not a little kid anymore and neither is everyone around you.
“Sometimes you will never know the value of a moment until it becomes a memory.”
